"I wish peace and goodwill": a civility tournament against terror was held in Mirny.

      Employees of the City House of Culture told children and teenagers about eternal values, and through games and contests showed how important friendship, mutual help and kindness are in the modern world.

      On September 26, as part of activities aimed at strengthening spiritual and moral values and preventing extremism, creative workers of the City House of Culture (CHC) organized an educational politeness tournament, "Wishing Peace and Goodwill," for the young residents of the Mirny neighborhood. The event began with a discussion about what goodness is and why it is so important for a person. The children learned how great thinkers of different eras thought about virtue: Socrates, Plato and Aristotle associated it with happiness; Plato saw goodness as a supreme idea; and the Chinese philosopher Confucius emphasized compassion and humanity. The children were told that life without goodness is like a world without sunlight.

      The theoretical part smoothly flowed into engaging practice. Participants actively recalled proverbs and sayings about goodness and peace, cheerfully solved riddles and answered quiz questions.

      The children showed particular interest in themed games: "Magic Words," "Polite or Impolite," "Are You Kind?," "We Are Different," and "How Wonderful This World Is!" These games, as well as special competitive tasks, were aimed at team building, developing mutual-help skills and fostering friendly relationships.

      The tournament took place in a lively and friendly atmosphere, proving that simple words about politeness, goodness and peace, reinforced by play, are an effective tool in educating the younger generation.
