Officers of the Gagarinsky Police Department of the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kazan solved the theft of an electric scooter.

      A report of stolen property was received by the police from a resident of Kazan, who explained that her underage son had left the vehicle near one of the shopping centers for a short time, having first secured it with a locking device. However, some time later the property was not found at the site. A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

      During operational-search measures, criminal investigation officers identified and detained the suspect in the theft — a Kazan resident born in 1990.

      At present, the subject of the criminal case is under an undertaking not to leave. The electric scooter has been seized and will be returned to its lawful owner.
