As part of the implementation of the national project "Youth and Children," the children's mobile technopark "Quantorium" from Naberezhnye Chelny, an educational partner, for the second year in a row is running a series of classes at the R.Sh. Fardiev Tatar Gymnasium for students in grades 5–8 in the areas of industrial robotics/industrial design, VR/IT, geo/aero and hi‑tech. In the industrial design classes, students have already mastered the basic SketchUp tools — Push/Pull and Move — and learned the most important principles: grouping and working with components. Now a flat drawing easily becomes three‑dimensional; the gymnasium students have learned the basics of creating complex yet neat models.
The students studied working with objects for virtual environments in Unity: moving, scaling, and applying textures. The assembly of a bus from the ZMrobo robotics kit is behind them. Ahead lies the creation of moving robots with large motors, a hub, and their programming. Using blocking, they create their first 3D models and study basic modeling tools in Blender.
The students are also acquiring skills in creating and testing computer networks. The course will culminate in the development and defense of projects with which the pupils will be able to participate in competitions. The head of the Tatar Gymnasium, M.F. Mukhametkhanov, shared the students' first achievements, emphasizing that the interaction proved positive, creative and easy to absorb. The students enjoyed it and gained a wealth of useful information about the latest developments thanks to their participation in the children's technopark "Quantorium." The pupils gained a unique experience interacting with cutting‑edge technologies, were inspired and are eagerly anticipating further meetings with their mentors.
"Quantorium" is a next‑generation children's technopark created specifically for students in grades 5–11 who are passionate about technical creativity and science. The project's main goal is to foster young people's interest in STEM professions and to train talented personnel who will contribute to strengthening our country's technological superiority.
