Excursion to the Museum of the History of the Chistopol Militia
The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Chistopol District opened its doors to fourth-grade students of Secondary School No. 1. The young guests were warmly welcomed at the duty unit by officers and veterans of the department, as well as members of the Public Council. Law enforcement officers and community representatives introduced the children to the intricacies of the work of duty unit staff — those who are the first to receive calls for help and coordinate the actions of law enforcement.
The children were then invited to the Museum of the History of Chistopol Police, where they examined exhibits with genuine interest that attest to the glorious path and heroic daily life of the Chistopol District’s guardians of order. The pupils, in turn, demonstrated their knowledge about police activities, pleasing the veterans with their awareness.
At the shooting range, the children were given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with types of weapons serving in the police arsenal. They were told in detail about the technical characteristics and the rules for safe handling of weapons.
The meeting with the service dogs made a special impression on the young guests. The canine handler demonstrated the skills of his four-legged partners. The children learned that these loyal animals are dispatched to crime scenes, assisting in the search for drugs, the detection of explosives, and the search for missing persons.
The tour concluded at the memorial to fallen officers, where a group photograph was taken as a memento. The children showed genuine interest in serving in the internal affairs agencies, asking many questions.
The meeting left an indelible impression on the hearts of the young citizens and may, perhaps, help some of them in the future choose the noble profession of a defender of law and order.
