      The villages of Staroe Drozhzhanoe and Malaya Tsilna in Drozhzhanovsky District have opened the first rural financial access offices in Tatarstan.

      The offices are equipped with computers with internet access to enable rural residents to receive financial and government services remotely. The access points were established through cooperation between the district administration and the Branch — the National Bank for the Republic of Tatarstan of the Volga-Vyatka Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia. Branch experts demonstrated the capabilities of the rural offices and delivered educational lectures on financial literacy and fraud prevention to schoolchildren and older residents.

      "Residents of the district have gained an additional opportunity to remotely use a basic set of government and financial services. For example, they can pay utility bills, taxes, use the Gosuslugi portal, set up a self-exclusion from obtaining loans and credits, open a deposit," said Marat Sharifullin, head of the Branch — the National Bank for the Republic of Tatarstan of the Volga-Vyatka Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia. "The rural offices will also help improve financial knowledge. Villagers will have the opportunity to join online classes, study useful materials and raise their level of financial literacy."
