Alfiya Kogogina arranged subscriptions to local newspapers for residents of two districts of Tatarstan.

      As part of the Decade of Older People, State Duma deputy Alfiya Kogogina arranged subscriptions to the district newspapers “Agryzskie Vesti” and “Mendeleevskie Novosti” for residents of the Agryzsky and Mendeleevsky districts of Tatarstan. This was reported by Kogogina’s press service.

      She emphasized that for her these days symbolize the expression of kindness and respect toward people who have dedicated their lives to their native land, to labor collectives, to family and to serving the Fatherland, and that the positive feedback from the recipients of the subscriptions inspires and pleases her.

      A cultural sector veteran from the village of Isenbayevo, Alfira Nizamova, said that the district newspapers have been with her since childhood. Previously her parents subscribed to publications titled “Lenin yuly” and “Җиңү юлы,” and she herself, as a schoolgirl, prepared notes about fellow villagers.

      An adult Nizamova, a member of the Writers’ Unions of Udmurtia and Tatarstan, for many years has been an active reader and correspondent for “Agryzskie Vesti.” According to her, the newspaper serves not only as a source of news but also as a platform for expressing one’s own opinion and getting acquainted with the work of fellow writers.
