Twenty-six doctors from Tatarstan will go to Singapore for internships.

      In Tatarstan, 26 winners of the republican "Doctor of the Year — Ak chachakler" contest will go on an internship in Singapore. The program has been allocated 13.4 million rubles, according to the public procurement website. After the internship, the doctors will prepare reports with proposals for adapting foreign practices into the republic’s medical system.

      The internship is divided into several stages. The first module will take place in Kazan, where participants will study the structure of Singapore’s healthcare system, funding specifics, the organization of outpatient and inpatient care, and will also become acquainted with digital medical services, telemedicine, robotics and the use of artificial intelligence.

      The main part of the program will take place directly in Singapore at six of the country’s largest clinics. The doctors will spend nine days there, taking part in lectures, clinical case reviews and observing operations in the fields of transplantology, cardiac surgery, oncology and neurosurgery. The internship will conclude with final modules featuring roundtables and exchanges of experience with foreign colleagues.
