An Indian film festival opens in Kazan.

      On October 8 the Indian film festival will open at the Mir cinema in Kazan. The event is organized as part of the first business forum "TIME: Russia – India. Mutual Efficiency." For several days audiences will be shown Bollywood productions. The festival is aimed at strengthening cultural exchange and promoting Indian cinema among Russian viewers. The official opening and first screenings will begin at 18:00. The ceremony will be attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India, Vinay Kumar. On the same day a round table "Tatarstan – India. Horizons of Cinematic Partnership" will be held at the Bashir Rameev IT Park, where forum participants will discuss new Indian films and opportunities for further cooperation between the regions.
