The Rector of the Academy is taking part in the international legal forum in Kazan.

      The IV Kazan International Legal Forum has started in Kazan. Over two days more than 1,500 participants from 28 countries and 71 Russian cities will discuss issues of coordinating interparliamentary cooperation, ensuring security and the international legal order. The forum is organized by the Association of Lawyers of Russia, the Executive Committee of the city of Kazan, Kazan Federal University and the Association of Graduates of the Law Faculty of Kazan Federal University.

      The plenary session “Time of Law: In Search of a Universal Language in a Multipolar World” took place at the new G. Kamal Theater. Among the honored guests were Andrey Klishas, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building; Pavel Krasheninnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on State Building and Legislation; Taliya Khabrieva, Director of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation; Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan; and others.

      Farhat Khusnutdinov, rector of the Bolgar Islamic Academy, Honored Lawyer of the Republic of Tatarstan and Candidate of Legal Sciences, is taking part in the events. He was an honored guest of the session “Constitutional (Statutory) Councils of the Subjects of the Russian Federation in the Mechanism for Ensuring Constitutional Legality: Experience, Problems and Improving Efficiency,” organized by the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      According to the organizers, the forum is intended to become a focal point for leaders of the legal community, experts, scholars and young professionals ready to rethink the meaning of law in new conditions. The main goal of the event is to find legal solutions to pressing problems affecting the development of society, the state and business.

      Within the framework of the forum participants will try to find a universal language of law in a multipolar world, discuss the quality of legal education and the employability of graduates, constitutional (statutory) councils of the subjects of the Russian Federation, the digital ecosystem, the role of international law in maintaining peace and security, and other topical issues.
