Today at 01:36 MSK a "Drone Alert" mode was declared in Tatarstan. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) via its mobile app. At 02:48 MSK temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were imposed for Kazan International Airport. At 04:42 MSK similar restrictions were imposed for Begishevo Airport in Nizhnekamsk. At 06:53 MSK restrictions for the air gateways were lifted, but the drone alert remains in effect. According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, during the past night on-duty air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 42 fixed-wing UAVs. Among them, two drones were shot down not far from Tatarstan — over the territory of Bashkortostan — and three over Ulyanovsk Oblast.
