In Kazan, a project is being discussed to build a thermal neutralization and waste disposal complex called "Nefrit-R". A decree to carry out an environmental impact assessment (EIA) has already been published on the official website of the city administration.
According to the EIA materials, the waste incineration plant is planned to be located in the Verkhneuslonsky District, near the junction of the M7 and R241 highways. The plot for construction is in an industrial zone, approximately 3.5 kilometers from Innopolis.
The facility will have a capacity of up to 1.5 tons of waste per hour and will be able to operate for up to eight thousand hours per year. The complex is designed to process various types of waste, including industrial, household, medical and biological. Processing will be carried out by means of high-temperature treatment, which complies with modern environmental standards specified in the ITS 9-2023 reference.
Recall, an illegal dump of 111 square meters was discovered in the Sovetsky District of Kazan. Construction waste was being stored there.
