Lecturers of the Znanie Society from Tatarstan ran an intensive course for students from Belarus.
The Russian Znanie Society is taking part in carrying out educational events in the Republic of Belarus under the approved Roadmap for interaction between government bodies and national public associations of the two countries in the field of youth policy for 2025–2027. The event organizers reported this.
Thus, associate professors of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy of KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov, lecturers of the Znanie Society, Nadezhda Vanyukhina and Margarita Filatova-Safronova, gave five scientific-educational lectures at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. More than 150 students took part in the events.
Nadezhda Vanyukhina noted that within the lecture "Developing Creative Thinking" the lecturers did not limit themselves to theory: students carried out practical tasks aimed at developing non-standard thinking and inventiveness in their chosen professional field.
During the lecture "Time Management, or How to Get Everything Done?" the lecturer noted that it is impossible to do everything completely, but it is possible to accomplish the most important things. According to her, effective time management requires following several basic rules. First of all, before starting work one should assess its overall scope and draw up a clear action plan. It is recommended to warn colleagues and friends in advance about being busy, and to minimize unexpected visits during working time.
To increase productivity it is important to create a favorable working environment: eliminate external distractions, turn off the television and switch the phone to silent mode. It is also necessary to focus on a single task, as this ensures its quality execution. At the same time it is important to work steadily, avoiding haste, which often leads to mistakes and a decline in the quality of the result.
In the lecture "Remember Everything, or What Do We Know About Alzheimer's Disease?" Margarita Filatova-Safronova touched on an important topic. She noted that the first signs of the disease often are impairments of short-term memory: a person begins to forget recent events or information received just moments earlier. Over time difficulties may appear with finding words in conversation, planning and carrying out simple household tasks. Often the patient becomes lost in familiar places, confuses dates and exhibits sharp mood swings — from apathy to irritability. As the disease progresses the problems intensify, affecting long-term memory and the ability to live independently.
In preventing the disease regular mental activity is especially important — reading, solving crosswords or learning new things. Physical exercise, which helps improve blood circulation in the brain, is equally significant. It is also necessary to monitor a balanced diet including vegetables, fruits and foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids. The lecturer emphasized that doctors advise maintaining social contacts and monitoring key health indicators: blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
