Alsu Nabieva: The "Women's Movement of United Russia" forum is an important platform for generating new ideas.
From supporting women’s initiatives to preparing a new people’s program: United Russia held the Third All‑Russian Forum “Women Creating the Future.” Activists of the party project presented socially significant initiatives to be launched or scaled across the country.
More than 700 people gathered at the National Center “Russia”: chairpersons of regional public councils, coordinators and activists of the party project from 89 regions of the country, politicians, deputies, representatives of public associations and experts.
The forum was devoted to topical issues of consolidating the women’s community, women’s participation in achieving the country’s national development goals, and the female role in addressing political, social and public tasks. The focus was on supporting women’s leadership in all spheres of public life, developing professional potential, harmoniously combining motherhood and employment, involving women in high‑technology sectors and science, and their active participation in lawmaking and entrepreneurship.
The vast majority of topics within the scope of the “United Russia Women’s Movement” are reflected in the people’s program, said the party chairman Dmitry Medvedev while speaking at the forum’s plenary session. “You must tell others what you are doing, because by telling about what we have achieved—and overall we have achieved a lot in implementing the people’s program—we are paving our way into the future,” he emphasized.
Dmitry Medvedev noted the importance of the Women’s Clubs organized by the United Russia Women’s Movement. They discuss the most complex and important issues for the country, such as health, motherhood, childhood, and women’s entrepreneurship. Their role is also important in supporting the front and the families of servicemen.
“This activity commands the greatest respect. This is not only a party priority; we all understand that the whole country is engaged in this now. Nevertheless, for the wives, mothers, daughters and sisters of our fighters this is an opportunity to truly share concerns about their loved ones,” the party chairman said.
Dmitry Medvedev instructed the United Russia Women’s Movement to take part in forming the party’s new people’s program, in which it is important to take into account proposals coming from the women’s activists.
“I very much hope that all of you here in this hall will deal with this in the most attentive way. The forum is a good opportunity to share your developments and practices, to simply communicate, to talk about problems and about what is most important today. We understand that what is most important for all of us and for women, for all families, is Victory,” he said.
Dmitry Medvedev also supported the proposal to expand United Russia’s Women’s Political School, participation in which provides a set of skills necessary, among other things, in public administration.
“A heightened sense of justice creates unique opportunities for the entire female corps of United Russia. You help everyone in a wide variety of situations, and you do it from the heart. And I believe this is the value of having women among the activists of our nationwide party. Therefore, I fully support the idea of expanding the Women’s Political School, of doing this more diversely and more actively, and I ask my colleagues from the executive committee and the General Council to pay attention to this,” the chairman of United Russia said.
Secretary of the General Council Vladimir Yakushev noted that 2026 will require major work, including preparations for Unified Election Day 2026 and the creation of United Russia’s new people’s program. It can be organized on the platform of women’s clubs.
“We need to gather all necessary initiatives and conduct focus groups. We need feedback so that the document we then take to the elections responds to people’s requests, is clear, concrete and written in plain human language,” he explained.
Vladimir Yakushev emphasized that the position of party project activists is important when making decisions at all levels, including the state level.
“Your opinion, your activity, is a fundamentally important element for ensuring that decisions needed today are made at the state level. Women in many spheres know the situation from the inside and naturally propose solutions to existing problems. Our goal is to turn the United Russia Women’s Movement into an infrastructure for supporting women’s initiatives. In fact you have already done this, but it is necessary for your infrastructure to develop, and for the ideas and thoughts you convey to truly receive support at the highest level,” he said.
On the eve of 2026, United Russia aims to make the party project as useful as possible for the development of regions and municipalities, said co‑chair of the public council of the party project Darya Lantratova.
According to her, the movement has today become one of the largest in the country: more than a million people across all regions are already involved in its activities.
“Our main task is to find and support those very ‘diamonds’ on the ground. For this we have launched a format of strategic sessions where we collect feedback from people and propose new solutions in various sectors. And our political school long ago went beyond politics and became a real mechanism for uniting and developing activists, in effect a platform for launching and implementing their own public initiatives,” Darya Lantratova explained.
More than a thousand events are held daily by the movement, said party project coordinator and State Duma deputy Natalia Poluyanova.
“Three years ago we began as an initiative focused on border regions and oriented toward socio‑humanitarian support. Since then this direction has become key, and sewing manufactories and volunteer associations providing assistance to the front have emerged across Russia,” she emphasized.
“The Women’s Movement” helps participants of the special military operation return to a full life, surrounding returning fighters and their families with attention, said Hero of Russia and finalist of the “Leaders of Russia” project Lyudmila Bolilaya.
“It is very important not to lose the energy we have accumulated, but to direct it toward restoring the future, toward creating the future,” she said. Society must understand that help from United Russia is the norm.
“Having gone through even a small path of war myself, I personally felt this help and support. It is a precious stimulus toward Victory and returning home alive. And the fighters who return from the front, their mothers who wait for them, their wives—they are precisely the people needed in government bodies. These are people who will not fail or betray. These are people whom others want to follow. I think experienced politicians from the United Russia party will become mentors for them,” Lyudmila Bolilaya said.
The Republic of Tatarstan is represented at the event by a delegation that includes the Head of the Association of Women Deputies of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan “Märxämät – Mercy,” coordinator of the federal party project United Russia Women’s Movement, Alsu Nabieva; as well as Deputy Secretary of the Tatarstan regional branch of the party, Deputy Chair of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Committee on Social Policy Olga Voronova.
During the forum, Secretary of the Party’s General Council Vladimir Yakushev presented Alsu Nabieva with a letter of appreciation for the successful implementation of the federal party project United Russia Women’s Movement and her personal contribution to the development of women’s leadership and public initiatives in Tatarstan.
“The Third All‑Russian Forum of the United Russia Women’s Movement became an important platform for exchanging experience, forming new ideas and uniting the efforts of women who make a significant contribution to Russia’s social and economic development,” Alsu Nabieva noted.
Within the framework of the forum, activists of the United Russia Women’s Movement voiced initiatives they want to implement next year in five areas: “Mentorship,” “Family Health,” “Life After Victory,” “Women’s Clubs” and “Women’s Politics.”
Among them were proposals to scale several projects: the “Mentorship” project; an educational project for wives and mothers of participants in the special military operation with the involvement of representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church in its implementation; the “Women’s Political School” (on the party’s platform); a program for the socio‑cultural rehabilitation of fighters; a program of medical screening for children; the continuation of the practice of educational online trainings aimed at supporting women’s entrepreneurship; and others.
