According to preliminary information, the driver of a Lada, born in 1973, lost control of the vehicle after choosing a speed unsafe for the road conditions. From his injuries, the 50-year-old Lada driver died at the scene before medics arrived. There were three people in the foreign-made car at the time of the accident: the driver, born in 1980, and two passengers, one of whom was a four-month-old baby. All of them sustained injuries of varying severity. Rescue services note that serious consequences for the infant were avoided thanks to the fact that he was secured in a special child restraint device that had been installed correctly. At present, law enforcement officers are working at the scene and determining all the circumstances of the incident. The republic’s State Traffic Inspectorate once again urges drivers to strictly comply with the traffic rules.
