A man who shot a cafe employee with a pistol was detained in Nizhnekamsk.

      Today information appeared on social networks that in one of the cafés on Mira Prospekt in Nizhnekamsk a man fired several shots from a pistol in the direction of a female employee of the establishment.

      As Tatar-inform was told by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan, two drunk men entered the café, one of them produced an object resembling a pistol and fired several times at the café worker.

      The men were detained and taken to the police. They turned out to be local residents aged 29 and 36.

      The café employee sought medical assistance. The weapon has been sent for examination; it is believed to be an air pistol.

      "An inquiry into the incident is currently underway, based on the results of which a procedural decision will be made," the agency said.
