In the Zelenodolsk district of Tatarstan, investigators have completed the criminal case against a 14-year-old resident accused of killing her own mother. According to the investigation, on the evening of May 7, 2025, the girl heard her 39-year-old mother scolding her younger brother for bad behavior, after which she decided to get rid of the woman.
The next morning the teenager inflicted several dozen stab wounds on her sleeping mother in various parts of her body. The woman died at the scene from the injuries sustained. After committing the crime, the girl called the police herself and reported what had happened.
A forensic psychiatric examination revealed that the minor has a chronic mental disorder that deprived her of the ability to understand her actions. The investigation has filed a petition with the court to apply compulsory medical measures, the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for Tatarstan reports.
