      Hundreds of wrestlers from various parts of Russia will compete for victory in Zainsk

      Today, October 18, a solemn opening ceremony of the All-Russian koresh competition in memory of R. Sh. Fardiev took place at the Davydov-Arena ice palace. The tournament, dedicated to the memory of the former head of the Zainsk district, features 227 young athletes and 60 adult top wrestlers from the Republic of Tatarstan and Russia.

      The head of the Zainsk district, Razif Karimov, greeted the participants and fans of the spectacular sport.

      – The people of Zainsk remember and honor Rinat Fardiev. They remember him as a kind, open, hardworking man, remember his good deeds and his contribution to the development of the district. Rinat Shaekhovich paid a great deal of attention to raising the younger generation and established the tradition of holding koresh competitions for the prizes of the head of the Zainsk district. The tournament has grown from a district event into a republican one and has held federal status for the seventh year in a row. The competition has been dedicated to the memory of Rinat Fardiev for the past 17 years.

      Over the years of the tournament’s existence, several generations of young wrestlers have grown up in the district, among them multiple winners and prizewinners of All-Russian competitions, world and European championships.

      The continuity of generations in wrestling continues, and the Rinat Fardiev memorial tournament plays an important role in this. I want to note that the Zainsk team has won these competitions dozens of times, including the first five years after the tournament received federal competition status! I hope that over the two days of competition we will once again witness outstanding skill, strength and healthy rivalry.

      At the same time, I want to say that everyone has their own front. Hundreds of our brave men are currently participating in the special military operation, risking their health and sometimes their lives, making an invaluable contribution to defending the borders of our homeland. May your victories on the Zainsk mat inspire the defenders of the Fatherland toward a great, long-awaited victory for all. And may the soldiers return to their native lands alive and healthy! – said Razif Karimov.

      Also taking part in the solemn opening ceremony were: Member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, chairman of the Federation of Tatar-Bashkir national sport koresh of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Kalimullin; deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Riyaz Komarov; Deputy Director of the Sports Training Center of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Konstantin Gorbunov; Executive Director of the Koresh Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan Marsel Tagirov; chief referee of the competition, honored coach of the Russian Federation Rakip Faizullin; head of the Nizhnekamsk Electric Networks branch of JSC “Setevaya Kompaniya” Eduard Sharonov; as well as relatives and close ones of Rinat Fardiev.

      As is tradition, awards were presented to Zainsk residents at the opening ceremony. For his personal substantial contribution to the improvement of modern physical education methods, as well as for active participation in the development of national and Olympic sports, the head of the Zainsk district, Razif Karimov, was awarded a letter of appreciation from a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

      For his contribution to creating conditions for the population to engage in physical culture and sports, a letter of appreciation from the Koresh Federation of Russia was presented to the deputy head of the Zainsk district, honored worker of physical culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Petr Urazaykin.

      For his contribution to the development of koresh in the Republic of Tatarstan, a letter of appreciation from the Koresh Federation of Russia was presented to the head of the Department of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism, Ilzira Timerkaeva.

      For many years of fruitful work, and on the occasion of his 60th anniversary, coach-teacher in koresh at the Zay sports school, honored worker of physical culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilsur Ziatdinov, was awarded a letter of appreciation from the Koresh Federation of Russia.

      For conscientious work and contribution to the development of koresh wrestling in the Zainsk district, the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan expressed gratitude to the director of the Zay sports school, Ramil Farshatov.

      For his contribution to the development of koresh wrestling in the Zainsk district, and on the occasion of his 65th anniversary, veteran athlete Petr Anisimov was presented with a letter of appreciation from the Koresh Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan. Also, on the occasion of his 60th anniversary, veteran athlete Mansur Mingazov was awarded a letter of appreciation from the Koresh Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      For assistance in holding the All-Russian koresh competition in memory of R. Sh. Fardiev, a letter of appreciation from the head of the Zainsk district was presented to Rustem Fayzrahmanov, director of the municipal budget institution of Naberezhnye Chelny “Sports School ‘Chelny’”.

      For cooperation in organizing and holding sports events and competitions in the territory of the Zainsk district, a letter of appreciation from the head of the Zainsk district was presented to individual entrepreneur Olga Dubrovina.

      For conscientious work, professionalism and contribution to the holding of the All-Russian koresh competition in memory of Rinat Shaekhovich Fardiev, letters of appreciation from the head of the Zainsk district were presented to Elvira Kuznetsova, chief accountant of the Zay sports school, and Anna Gulyushova, instructor-methodologist of the Zay sports school.
