Volunteers from the "We Are Together" foundation donated a scope to a participant in the special military operation from Aktanysh.

      Volunteers from the “We Are Together” foundation continue to respond promptly to requests from participants in the special military operation. Today they handed over one of the necessary pieces of equipment — a combat sight — to native of the village of Aktanysh Ilgar Khakimov, who has temporarily arrived on leave from the combat zone.

      Ilgar serves in a commandant’s battalion in the Kakhovka district of Kherson region. Among his comrades are soldiers from Smolensk, Bryansk and other regions of Russia. Back home he happily speaks Tatar again, recalling his native home and childhood.

      “We cover the rear, especially the Dnieper bank, so that strike drones and aircraft do not approach us. At the slightest threat we shoot them down,” the modest soldier briefly recounts of his service.

      Ilgar was born in 1995 in the village of Aktanysh. After kindergarten and primary school he continued his education at a cadet boarding school. In 2013 he was drafted into the Navy and served as a sailor in the Northern Fleet — in Severomorsk, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk.

      After the army Ilgar worked in the oil sector and later at the Aktanysh Aggregates Plant. After the enterprise closed in spring 2025, he voluntarily went to the military enlistment office and signed a contract to participate in the special military operation.

      “We serve in shifts, but there are alarms when there is no time to sleep — you have to help your comrades. It is especially dangerous when the enemies use drones that attack civilians. The hardest thing is to see how civilians and children suffer,” Ilgar says.

      Back home he tries to spend every moment with family and friends and helps his parents. His leave is only 14 days.

      Today Ilgar visited the “We Are Together” foundation to thank the volunteers personally. He recently asked them for a sight — and the response was immediate. The head of the foundation, Liliya Gikramina, presented Ilgar with the necessary equipment.

      “Many thanks to everyone who helps us — both for the sight and for the humanitarian support. Your care and attention inspire us to serve and bring victory closer!” Ilgar Khakimov said, addressing the volunteers and residents of the district.

      In his annual address to the State Council of Tatarstan, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, noted that the main task for all authorities today is to ensure a reliable rear for the fighters defending our country’s sovereignty at the front.
