The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia has updated the minimum Unified State Exam (EGE) scores for applicants wishing to enter subordinate universities in the 2026/27 academic year. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The changes, aimed at improving the quality of education, affect only about one percent of future students and are based on an analysis of the 2025/26 admissions campaign.
The new minimum scores are:
• Russian language and advanced mathematics — 40
• Physics — 41
• Social studies — 45
• History — 40
• Computer science — 46
• Foreign language — 40
• Literature — 40
• Biology, chemistry and geography — 40
The changes affected the subjects of chemistry, biology, physics, computer science, history and foreign language.
