On Centralno-Mariupolskaya Street in the Severny settlement, the first specialized site for separate collection of municipal solid waste in the Aviastroitelny district of Kazan has begun operating. Local residents can now bring and separately deposit plastic, paper, glass and metal here. All of this will be sent for recycling.
The new site, covering 686 square meters, is equipped with access roads and scales, as well as surveillance cameras. On the premises there are two bunkers with a capacity of eight cubic meters each for accumulation of separately collected fractions.
Future development prospects for the site include the installation of additional equipment — presses and shredders for processing construction waste such as concrete, brick and wood.
