Kazan's river transport has carried more than 350,000 passengers this year.

      This year Kazan’s river transport served more than 350,000 people, slightly more than last year, when passenger traffic amounted to 344,000. About 60% of them used social routes, the CEO of Flot RT, Roman Lizalin, said.

      Lizalin noted that passenger traffic on social routes has declined slightly, but the overall number of passengers increased thanks to growth in commercial routes. He expressed hope for further growth in the figures and reported a twofold increase in profitability compared with last year.

      The passenger navigation season will end on November 16; commercial routes will close earlier, while obligations on social routes will be fulfilled. The CEO also did not rule out the possibility of changing ticket prices next year but assured that a significant rise in prices for social transportation is not expected.
