"So that they return alive as soon as possible": preschoolers in Nizhnekamsk write letters to soldiers in the special military operation.

      At Kindergarten No. 93 “Әллүки” in Nizhnekamsk not only children's laughter and songs can be heard — a great deal of work is being done here for a good cause. Teachers, parents and even the youngest pupils are coming together to support participants in the special military operation.

      The kindergarten regularly collects humanitarian aid, and since this spring they have been weaving camouflage nets right here on a specially installed rig. Almost fifty have already been made. If before staff used to go to the volunteer center, now helping the fighters has become the business of the entire team.

      “It helps a lot and calms you down,” says teacher Almira Shafikova. “The soul becomes calmer when we can make our contribution. The children see that adults help and want to take part too. Besides, it develops fine motor skills.”

      The nets are sent to the humanitarian center, from where they are forwarded to the front.

      “We have woven 47 nets in total,” clarifies the deputy head of the kindergarten Irina Polikarpova. “In the summer fighters came to us, thanked us for the work, and said they were very glad that we were doing such a necessary thing.”

      But the help does not stop there. The kindergarten pupils regularly write letters and make cards for the soldiers. Today children from the preparatory group took part in the “Autumn Week of Kindness” campaign.

      “This is my tank, a star and a little heart,” shows his drawing Samat Arslanov. “I want them to return as soon as possible, to come back alive and to defeat all the fascists.”

      “I think this letter will reach my uncle,” adds Madina Shambazova. “May there finally be peace, eternal family and friendship.”

      The children place their messages into envelopes and carefully drop them into the “soldiers’ mail.” Today they were visited by a kindergarten alumnus, Renal Giyatov — he read his own poem to the children.

      “At first I came to weave a net,” he said. “Then I wanted to do something more interesting, and I began to write poems. They contain both joyful and sad emotions. I feel sorry for the tank crews, for the commanders. But there are people who can stand up for Russia.”

      Every quarter Kindergarten No. 93 collects humanitarian aid for the fighters. The teachers are convinced that only together, by joining efforts, can they help the soldiers and bring our common victory closer.

      In his annual address to the State Council of Tatarstan, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the main task for all authorities today is to ensure a reliable rear for the fighters defending our country’s sovereignty on the front line.
