      The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, placed under special supervision the investigation of the tragic incident in the settlement of Vasilievo in the Zelenodolsk district of Tatarstan, in which a newborn child died. Bastrykin instructed the head of the regional department, Valery Lipsky, to provide a detailed report on the progress of the criminal case into abandonment in danger opened on the fact of the infant’s death, the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia reports.

      Recall that in the evening in Vasilievo the body of a newborn boy was found under the windows of one of the houses. It was established that he was thrown from the window of an apartment on the fourth floor. According to preliminary data, this was done by the infant’s five-year-old sister. At the time of the tragedy the children were alone in the apartment.
