Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the actions of Russian forces are not tied to specific dates and are determined solely by military necessity. On Sunday the head of state visited the command post of the joint group of forces and listened to a report from the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov.
“My approach is also known to you. We will not tie anything to particular dates or events. We will always, as we have done so far, proceed from military expediency,” the president emphasized.
At the meeting Vladimir Putin noted that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation must continue the special military operation in accordance with the General Staff’s plans. The president also drew attention to the successes of Russian troops in the SMO zone.
According to the head of state, units of the Russian Armed Forces managed to encircle Ukrainian troops in the areas of Krasnoarmeysk, Dimitrov and Kupyansk. Putin congratulated the military on this achievement.
