In Tatarstan the head of the insurance company "Absolut" repaid a multimillion-ruble tax debt after a criminal case was opened.
According to the investigation, in 2019–2022 he evaded paying taxes by using fictitious contracts with 45 counterparties. The total amount of unpaid VAT and profit tax exceeded 36 million rubles.
After investigators gathered irrefutable evidence, the defendant fully repaid the entire debt. On that basis the criminal case against him was closed.
