      At the traditional meeting in the Government House of Tatarstan, the progress of the harvesting campaign for industrial crops was discussed. The event, held as a videoconference with all municipalities connected, was chaired by the head of the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov. The work was attended by the Prime Minister of the RT Alexey Pesoshin and the Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Agriculture and Food of the RT Marat Zyabbarov, the press service of the regional leader reports.

      According to the minister, 114 thousand hectares of industrial crops remain to be harvested in the republic. The main problem is sunflowers: 75.5 thousand hectares remain unharvested. At the same time, over the past two weeks farmers have managed to harvest about 10 thousand hectares of this crop.

      The situation with corn for grain is no less tense. To date, 28.5 thousand hectares have been harvested, which corresponds to 56% of the planned area. Significant areas remain unharvested in the farms of the Aksubayevsky, Alkeyevsky and Sarmanovsky districts. Over the past two weeks, about 10 thousand hectares have also been harvested there. Sugar beet harvesting is nearing completion. 2,900 hectares remain unharvested.
