Activists from the Committee of Families of Warriors of the Fatherland of the Republic of Tatarstan visited wounded soldiers at the hospital.

      A special concert took place today at the Kazan military hospital. Schoolboy Timur Safin performed guitar songs for the wounded servicemen. Timur himself said that he enjoys doing such good deeds and being in the company of defenders of the Fatherland.

      “I have been performing in hospitals and military units since 2022. And since 2024 my father and I have been traveling to the area of the special military operation. Altogether we have already made seven trips. I like supporting our fighters. I am proud of our guys,” Timur Safin said.

      Before his performance, representatives of the Committee of Families of the Warriors of the Fatherland of the Republic of Tatarstan spoke with words of welcome. The meeting was initiated by the organization to support the fighters and to introduce them to Timur. They said the committee organizes events and provides assistance to the families of participants in the special military operation. The fighters were also given gifts — sets of T-shirts and socks.

      “Our committee was created in November 2022. Our work is aimed at supporting the families of participants in the special military operation. From the very start of the operation I thought about how I could be useful. And so we, together with other fighters’ wives, gathered into one organization to become a support, a shoulder and, of course, a reliable rear,” said Angelina Galimova, head of the Committee of Families of the Warriors of the Fatherland of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      Such meetings with fighters are held at the hospital regularly. The hospital has a capacity of 50 beds; during the performance almost all the fighters came out of their wards.

      According to Deputy Chief Physician for General Affairs Elza Sakhapova, about 1,100 fighters have been treated at the hospital since it began operating.

      “Mostly our patients are those with mine-explosion injuries; we also perform microsurgical operations. They are treated by a comprehensive service, including psychologists,” she noted.

      The atmosphere during the performance was suffused with sincerity. The fighters’ faces, which had been sullen before, brightened, and soon they were already singing along with the young musician.

      “This is not my first injury. I have already been treated in Moscow and in Nizhny Novgorod. And now I was lucky to be treated in my hometown, where I was born — in Kazan. The impressions from such performances are incredible. It’s nice to know that we are not forgotten, it’s pleasant to realize that we are all together,” shared SMO fighter Ramil, callsign “Tatarin.”
