From the beginning of December 2025, six delivery robots will start operating in the Vakhitovsky district of Kazan. The first devices will run along Nursultan Nazarbayev, Tufan Minnullin, Marsel Salimzhanov, Artem Aidinov and Tikhomirnov streets.
By the middle of the month the service area will expand to eight additional streets, including Pushkin, Bolshaya Krasnaya and Karl Marx. A total of 30 routes are planned in the city, with the prospect of connecting outlying districts.
As noted by the city’s mayor Ilsur Metshin, the introduction of high-tech services aligns with the “smart city” concept and helps improve residents’ comfort. The courier robots can carry loads of up to 25 kilograms, reach speeds of 3.5 kilometers per hour, and operate autonomously for up to 10 hours. In 2026 the fleet of robots in Kazan and Innopolis could be increased to 150 units.
