Tatarstan’s Ministry of Forestry received three drones for monitoring forests.

      Thanks to the national project "Unmanned Aerial Systems," the Ministry of Forestry of Tatarstan has received three more drones for use by its subordinate institutions. This was reported to Tatar-inform today by the press service of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      "Unmanned aerial vehicles make it possible to significantly improve the quality of monitoring and the promptness of response to any incidents in the republic's forests. We see how modern technologies open up new opportunities for the protection and conservation of forests," said Ayrat Akhmerov, head of the Department of State Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan continues to introduce modern technologies. Three Russian-made Geoscan 801 unmanned aerial vehicles have been purchased for the needs of the forestry sector.

      Earlier this year, the ministry's subordinate institutions had already received 28 drones. The new equipment will allow tasks to be carried out more effectively, including monitoring the condition of forest fund lands, the detection and control of forest fires, and the prevention and identification of illegal logging.
