      In Kazan, 40-year-old and 29-year-old residents of the Novo-Savinovsky district, hoping to obtain additional income, lost a total of about 3 million rubles. Falling for scammers' tricks, the women tried to earn on a crypto exchange and invest funds.

      According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kazan, a 40-year-old woman, under the pretext of earning on a crypto exchange, sent the scammers 1,070,000 rubles, part of which were loans. The victim sent the money to subscriber numbers registered in Dagestan and Sverdlovsk Oblast.

      Another victim of the fraudsters was a 29-year-old woman. The victim, wanting to invest funds, lost more than 1,790,000 rubles. Police officers established that the numbers from which the scammers called were registered in Kazakhstan and Tyumen Oblast.

      Criminal cases under the article "Fraud" have been opened on the facts of the incidents.

      Law enforcement officers urge citizens to double-check information received from unfamiliar persons and in any situation to seek advice from close people.

      Earlier it was reported that a Kazan resident lost 800,000 rubles after believing in the need to replace meters.
