      Support for families with children in Russia is being implemented under the national project “Family.”

      This support measure has been in effect since 2018. During this time, 49,280 applications have been submitted to receive monthly payments from maternity capital funds for children under three years of age. Since the start of the program, the Branch of the Social Fund of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan has transferred more than 3 billion rubles to families with children. In 2025, parents of 11,286 children have already been able to receive this support. Since the beginning of the year, more than 793 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes.

      “The monthly payment is granted to families whose subsistence minimum for both parents is below 30,146 rubles per person. The payment amount is 14,621 rubles per month, which corresponds to the subsistence minimum for a child established in the region on the date the application is filed. The payment is currently in high demand because it helps parents cope with current child-related expenses and supports the family budget during the child’s early years,” added Eduard Vafin, head of the Branch of the Social Fund of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan.

      Applications for the monthly payment can be submitted on the Gosuslugi portal, as well as at the fund’s client service or at multifunctional centers (MFC). A separate application is filed for each child. Fund specialists obtain all necessary information independently through interagency cooperation.

      If the application is submitted no later than six months from the child’s date of birth, the family receives funds for the entire period starting from the month of birth. If applying after this period, the payment is established from the month the application is submitted. The payment is granted for 12 months, after which an application can be submitted again — in the last month of the current assignment period.

      Transfers are made for the previous month and are credited to recipients’ accounts monthly on the 5th. If this date falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment is made on the eve — on the last working day before it.
