      In Kazan the investigation of a criminal case against a 22‑year‑old local resident accused of attempting to murder his 55‑year‑old uncle has been completed, the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan reported. The incident occurred on September 21, 2025. That day the accused visited his uncle, who lived in one of the houses on Yanvarskaya Street in Kazan, where they were drinking alcoholic beverages together. At some point a conflict broke out between the relatives, which quickly turned into a fight. During the scuffle the young man inflicted knife wounds on his uncle in various parts of his body. The victim managed to save himself by locking himself in the kitchen away from the attacker. The man’s partner, who witnessed what was happening, called emergency services. Arriving law enforcement officers detained the assailant, and the victim was taken to hospital where he received treatment.
