The art of diamond painting became a salvation for Venera Kaurina after the loss of her husband. In this painstaking work, where each rhinestone is like a particle of prayer, she found the much-needed tranquility. Over time, what began as a means of spiritual healing quietly grew into a passion filled with light and meaning. Now the fruits of her labor and patience are 15 beautiful icons and paintings, each of which preserves not only the sparkle of the rhinestones but also the warmth of her heart.
"I sit down to do diamond painting in my spare time. In the process I completely immerse myself in creativity and find peace. I have the icons blessed at the church, and then I give them to loved ones. The dearest to my heart is the first icon I began making in memory of my husband," the craftswoman said.
