In Naberezhnye Chelny the prosecutor's office reviewed the case materials on the illegal use of a subscriber traffic-gateway terminal — equipment that allows calls to be rerouted and processed via the Internet and other communications channels. Such equipment enabled fraudsters to call Russians anonymously in order to commit crimes. According to the supervisory authority, from November 14 to 21, 2025 unknown persons on Avangardnaya Street operated the equipment to carry out fraudulent actions against Russians. As a result a criminal case was opened. The prosecutor's office deemed it lawful; the investigation is under the supervision of the oversight agency.
