      The results of the inventory of planting stock in the basic forest nurseries have been summed up in the Republic of Tatarstan. This year, specialists in the forestry sector grew a total of 32.6 million seedlings and saplings as part of the regional project "Preservation of Forests in the Republic of Tatarstan" of the federal project "Forest Conservation" of the national project "Environmental Well-being."

      According to the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, of the total planting stock, 27.5 million pieces are coniferous species and 5.1 million pieces are deciduous.

      "The results of this year's inventory demonstrate the systematic work of our foresters in forest reproduction. The plan for the preparation of planting stock was exceeded by 5%," said Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. "Each grown sapling is a contribution to Tatarstan's 'green' future."

      According to the minister, the planting stock will be used for carrying out reforestation, organizing environmental protection campaigns, and establishing protective forest plantations across the republic next year.

      Recall that the federal project "Forest Conservation" of the national project "Environmental Well-being" is aimed at preserving and increasing the country's forests to create comfortable and safe living conditions, as well as supporting and developing the economic potential of the forest sector.
