The Interior Ministry warned of a rise in cryptocurrency fraud.

      More than a third of fraudulent online resources that are blocked by law enforcement agencies are devoted to cryptocurrency investments. This was reported by TASS citing the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation.

      The department for organizing the fight against the unlawful use of information and communication technologies noted that such schemes are most often disguised as investment platforms and promise a "guaranteed profit" without any risks.

      Among the main signs of fraud identified by the Interior Ministry are:

      - promises of high returns;

      - a large number of pseudo-charts and "statistics";

      - fake reviews from "successful" investors;

      - pressure on a potential victim to force a quick decision;

      - lack of legal information — licenses, contract details and registrations.
