      New joint projects with Moscow Polytechnic were discussed at the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation.

      Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan — Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan to the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin met with the deputy director of the Institute of Publishing and Journalism of Moscow Polytechnic and head of the Department of Journalism, Leonid Tolchinsky.

      He has held this position since early 2025. Leonid Grigorievich has extensive experience in the media sector and in teaching. He began his career at the newspaper Vechernyaya Kazan, served as CEO of Tatar-inform and first deputy CEO of OJSC Tatmedia. Until 2016 he was CEO of Tatar-inform. He led the Higher School of Journalism and Media Communications at Kazan Federal University for eight years.

      In his new position Leonid Tolchinsky has outlined interesting tasks related to training young practicing journalists and helping them acquire the necessary knowledge and skills.

      Ravil Akhmetshin and Leonid Tolchinsky discussed joint projects that the Plenipotentiary Representation and Moscow Polytechnic will begin implementing in the near future. It should be noted that a Tatarstan community association has been created at the university; it is part of the Youth Council under the Plenipotentiary Representation.

      Journalist Oleg Pavlov, one of the active members of the Media Club also established under the Plenipotentiary Representation of Tatarstan, also took part in the meeting. Today Moscow Polytechnic University is celebrating its 160th anniversary.
