      In Naberezhnye Chelny an eight-year-old girl sustained a serious injury while visiting a trampoline center. This was reported by the press service of the Kama Children’s Medical Center.

      According to medical staff, the child was jumping on a trampoline under the supervision of an instructor. After one of the jumps the girl complained of a sharp pain in her back. At the hospital she was diagnosed with a compression fracture of the spine.

      As KCMC trauma surgeon Elza Davletova noted, such incidents in trampoline centers occur regularly. Children arrive both with minor injuries and with severe damage that require prolonged treatment and subsequent rehabilitation.

      The girl is currently under specialist supervision and is receiving the necessary medical care.

      The center’s press service added that since the beginning of the year 161 children have already sought help at the KCMC trauma unit after unsuccessful trampoline jumps.
