      Tomorrow, December 2, in Kazan at the S. Said-Galiyev Palace of Culture the gala concert of the XVIII Festival of Artistic Creativity of People with Disabilities "Let's Hold Hands, Friends!" will take place. Two hundred finalists will take part in it. This was reported at an administrative meeting by the head of the Soviet District administration, Roman Fathutdinov.

      "A wonderful festival that has gained momentum and its own audience. The children started with very timid steps. Today this festival is held not only on the scale of our city and republic, but also attracts children from different corners of our vast Motherland. The festival participants have developmental differences, but despite this, they wish to create on stage," said Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin.

      Six hundred applications were submitted to the competition from 27 special institutions. As Roman Fathutdinov noted, each year the festival's geography expands. This year children from the Baltasinsky and Nizhnekamsky districts of Tatarstan, as well as from the Chuvash Republic, joined it.

      Over 18 years the festival has become a place for developing children's creative abilities and communication skills. One of the contest's kind traditions has become fulfilling participants' cherished dreams. The head of the Soviet District administration gave the example of two children: one participant writes her own songs and very much wants to share her creativity on a big stage, the other is a fan of Rubin and dreams of visiting the club's training base to personally meet his favorite players.

      Roman Fathutdinov expressed his gratitude for the support of the event: "I would like to say big words of thanks to you, dear Ilsur Raisovich, for supporting this wonderful event. Thanks to the enterprises, organizations, the district's deputy corps, our honored artists and ordinary compassionate people who are ready to reach out and support those who, despite everything, step onto the stage and announce themselves to the world!"

      This year participants will be able to perform on the same stage with Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Salavat Fathutdinov, as well as with performer Ilgiz Shaikhraziev.
