The in-person stage of the 9th Republican "Achievement of the Year" Award has concluded: students from Tatarstan have moved closer to the main prize of the year.

      On December 2, the in-person stage of the 9th Republican Award for students of vocational educational institutions "Achievement of the Year" concluded. The final day brought together the most emotional and responsible trials — project defenses in the "Public Figure of the Year" category and the final contest for the "Grand Prix."

      The Award is held with the support of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and is aimed at developing the potential of young people, which fully aligns with the key goals of the national project "Youth and Children."

      Throughout the week, the Award venues gathered the most active, initiative-taking and talented students of colleges and technical schools from across Tatarstan. 140 people took part in the in-person competitions: 76 participants performed in individual categories, 53 in group categories, and 11 finalists competed for the highest prize — the "Grand Prix." The competition was strong, and the level of participants' preparation once again demonstrated the growing potential of the republic's secondary vocational education system.

      "Today, when we see such vivid defenses and a high level of participants' preparation, it becomes obvious how critically important it is to constantly support college and technical school students. These young people are our future professional core. Such Awards and competitions not only recognize their achievements, they set a high bar and motivate them not to stop at what they've achieved," noted Ksenia Konnova, Executive Director of the "Achievement of the Year" Award.

      "In the 'Professional of the Year' category we are looking not just for top students, but for those who are already shaping the future of their industry today. We wish all participants good luck and look forward to brilliant performances," said Shamil Yakupov, President of the Regional Youth Public Organization "League of Students of the Republic of Tatarstan."

      The participants' work was evaluated by 60 experts — leading specialists, public figures and representatives of the relevant ministries. Among them were the Chair of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan Zilya Valeeva, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights, the Youth Parliament and other organizations.

      With the completion of the in-person stage, the Award moves to its final phase. The names of the winners will become known at the solemn award ceremony, which will take place in December 2025.
