      As of the end of November 2025, the number of entrepreneurs in Tatarstan’s hotel sector increased by 9.5% compared with the same period last year and exceeded 800 entities. The number of small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism industry also grew by 4.3%. Over the first nine months of 2025 the republic was visited by 3.6 million tourists, which is 15.3% more than in 2024. Tatarstan ranks first in the Volga Federal District in terms of tourist flow, ahead of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (2.7 million trips) and Bashkortostan (1.6 million). The main tourist destinations remain Kazan, Bolgar, Sviyazhsk, Yelabuga and Chistopol. The growth in arrivals is supported by the republic’s participation in the national project “Tourism and Hospitality.” Over the past decade, tourist flow and the volume of tourism services in Tatarstan have nearly doubled.
