      Kazan continues to strengthen its position as one of Russia’s main tourist centers, entering the top ten most in-demand cities for short trips. According to Izvestia, trips to the capital of Tatarstan account for 81% of all such bookings in the country. This statistic reflects an all‑Russian trend: short trips lasting from one to three days make up 70% of the total number of domestic trips. Moreover, such formats account for 82% of all departures by independent travelers. The popularity of such tours shows steady growth: the number of short‑term hotel bookings increased by 31% compared with last year’s figures.

      Residents of Moscow particularly actively choose the capital of Tatarstan for weekend trips. According to the Avito Travel service, Kazan consistently ranks among the top five most popular destinations for short‑term trips from Moscow, alongside Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Krasnodar.

      Tourism experts note that the short‑trip format allows modern travelers to effectively recharge and gain vivid impressions even with limited budget and time. As a rule, two to three days is enough to get acquainted with the city’s key attractions and return to work refreshed.

      Note that, ahead of the New Year holidays, additional rail services will be launched for the convenience of passengers from Kazan. Recall that earlier Kazan residents named the most desired gifts they would like to receive for the New Year.
