Former Deputy Minister of Defense Yuri Sadovenko died at the age of 57.
Former Russian Deputy Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Yuri Sadovenko, has died in his 57th year. This was reported to RIA Novosti by his relatives.
He was born in Zhytomyr, graduated from the Ryazan Airborne School and the Academy of Public Administration. His career included service in the Armed Forces, participation in combat operations, and later work in the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS), where he took part in numerous rescue operations.
From 2012 to 2024 Sadovenko served as head of the minister of defense’s office, and in 2014 he received the rank of colonel-general.
