In the Sarmanovsky district of Tatarstan, a 64-year-old man died in a fire caused by careless smoking. The blaze broke out in a two-room apartment on the first floor of a four-story building in the urban-type settlement of Jalil. This was reported to "Tatar-inform" by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Republic of Tatarstan.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, there was open fire in the apartment. During extinguishing, the body of the apartment's owner was found in the bedroom.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the tragedy was an unextinguished cigarette.
