Workshops and ice shows will be held in Kazan's parks.

      Residents and visitors of Kazan are invited on January 8 to festive events in the city's parks and public spaces. An entertainment program is planned for the boulevard on Serova Street, the Elmay children's park and Black Lake Park.

      At 12:00 a master class "Map of the Coming Year: Dreams and Plans" will take place at SIBUR's eco-pavilion on the boulevard on Serova Street. Participants will be invited to create a collage of wishes and goals for the coming year. Advance registration is required to participate.

      At 13:00 a snowball tournament for children aged 7 and up will start in the Elmay children's park. Participants will be divided into teams and will take part in snow competitions. Winners will receive commemorative prizes. The tournament will last until 14:00; participants will assemble by the park stage. Admission is free.

      In the evening, at 18:00, the GALA Snow Fashion Show — a fashion show on ice organized by Gala magazine together with the Directorate of Parks and Squares of Kazan — will take place on the rink in Black Lake Park. The program includes performances by figure skaters and presentations of collections by Russian brands in the "Carnival Night" style. Collections will be presented by pupils of sports schools for figure skating and short track, as well as students of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism.

      The project's ambassadors are stylist Elza Gafiyatullina and art director and photographer Amina Valeeva. Organizers note that on the day of the fashion show the rink and the rental point in Black Lake Park will be closed to visitors due to preparations for the event.
