The State Duma issued recommendations for returning to work after the holidays.
Easing back into a work schedule after the holidays can be helped by normalizing sleep, lighter meals and planning the first workday. This view was shared with RIA Novosti by Ekaterina Stenyakina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labour, Social Policy and Veterans’ Affairs.
She noted that one of the main reasons for difficult adjustment is a disrupted daily routine.
"Returning to a work routine after long holidays can be difficult. Here’s what I can advise: gradually restore your sleep schedule — specifically, try to go to bed and get up 20–30 minutes earlier each day," Stenyakina advised.
According to her, returning to a normal diet also affects how you feel during the first working days, since an excess of fatty and sugary foods during the holidays can increase feelings of sluggishness.
Stenyakina suggested using the last days of the holiday to prepare for the workweek: sort out your things, choose your clothes, and set clear tasks for the first working day.
"Make a plan for Monday: outline a few clear tasks for the first working day. That kind of specificity will reduce anxiety," the deputy summed up.
