The investigation into the criminal case of five cash-out operators from Kazan has been completed. Depending on the role they played, they are accused of tax evasion, unlawful circulation of money, illegal banking activity, as well as organizing a criminal community or participating in one, the Investigative Committee of Tatarstan reports.
"All materials of the criminal case have already been sent to the court for consideration on the merits," the agency also clarified.
According to the investigation, in 2024 the head of LLC "SMART STROY" gathered accomplices for illegal cashing-out of funds. Before law enforcement shut them down, the illicit bankers managed to fulfill orders totaling more than 6 billion rubles. For this they received their criminal fee of 570 million.
During the investigation of this case it was also established that that same head of LLC "SMART STROY" in the period from 2017 to 2019 illegally evaded paying VAT and corporate profit tax. The amount involved is 67 million rubles. Investigators also established that in subsequent years he transferred money using forged payment orders.
Even before the trial, 1.9 million rubles of the 67 million rubles of damage were recovered. Also, assets belonging to the company's executives worth more than 77.8 million rubles were seized.
