In July, the government of the republic announced the introduction of special grants for schools specializing in exact sciences. The total fund for these grants amounted to 32 million rubles.

The authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan announced an increase in the amount of grants for teachers of exact sciences already next year. According to the draft resolution, which is currently undergoing anti-corruption expertise, grant support for physics, mathematics, and computer science teachers will increase by 15%. As proposed in the document, experienced educators will now be able to receive up to 344.8 thousand rubles instead of the previous 300 thousand, young specialists – up to 275.8 thousand instead of 240 thousand, and heads of clubs – 103.4 thousand rubles instead of 90 thousand. These changes have become part of a large-scale project "Physical and Mathematical Breakthrough," launched in May of this year. The program to support educators is just one element of the republic's systematic approach to the development of exact sciences. Already this month, the government of Tatarstan established grants for schools with in-depth study of physics, mathematics, and computer science of up to 1 million rubles. In addition, 200 talented schoolchildren will receive cash prizes of 57.5 thousand rubles for their achievements in studying these subjects. The government of the republic previously stated that it is systematically working to prepare highly qualified engineers and IT specialists for a technological breakthrough. In this regard, at the end of June, the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, instructed to review the entire system of teaching exact sciences to better meet the needs of the real sector of the economy. According to "Business Online," the authorities of the republic plan to distribute 75 million rubles among 350 subject teachers (mathematics, physics, and computer science).
