       Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Kazan managed to identify the driver who was transporting a minor child in his arms while driving, based on video footage.

       The traffic violation case was recorded in Kazan thanks to the vigilance of social media users. A video appeared on the messaging app Telegram, showing a BMW driver operating the vehicle while holding a small child on his lap. The clip, filmed on Victory Avenue, caught the attention of the State Traffic Inspectorate representatives. The traffic police promptly responded to the publication: they reviewed footage from photo fixation cameras and identified the violator. He turned out to be a 42-year-old resident of the Privolzhsky district. It was revealed that the incident occurred the day before at 7:15 PM. During the investigation, the man explained that the child started crying during the trip, and he placed him on his lap to calm him down. The driver fully admitted his guilt and agreed with the violation of the rules for transporting minors, the agency reported. Inspectors drew up an administrative protocol under part 3 of article 12.23 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of requirements for transporting children"), writes "Tatar-Inform." "An administrative material has been drawn up against the specified driver under the article 'Transporting children without a child restraint device,'" the city traffic police reported. According to this measure, the violator may be fined 3,000 rubles. The traffic police reminded that such actions pose a direct threat to the child's life. Earlier in Kazan, police detained a Lexus driver who threatened another driver on the road with a toy gun. This incident was also captured on video and discovered by law enforcement officers on one of the social networks.
