       As of today, there are more than 60 private schools operating in Tatarstan, 45 of which received financial support from the government, and some of them inflated the number of students for subsidies.

       The support system for private education in Tatarstan has faced a number of abuses. As reported by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilsur Khadiullin, at the republican August meeting of education and science workers, cases of artificial inflation of student numbers in private schools were identified, allowing institutions to unjustifiably receive subsidies from the regional budget. Of the more than 60 private educational institutions operating in the republic, 45 received government support last year. However, a joint inspection by the prosecutor's office and the Anti-Corruption Policy Department of the Republic of Tatarstan revealed violations: some organizations manipulated data on the number of students to increase funding. "The ministry has filed lawsuits for the return of funds to the budget. We are currently implementing improved control mechanisms in this area," Khadiullin stated. The head of the Ministry of Education emphasized that the new monitoring systems will help eliminate such violations in the future and ensure the targeted use of budget funds. The department is working on developing additional verification mechanisms that will be applied to all private educational organizations seeking government support, reports "Evening Kazan." It was previously reported that active construction and repair work is underway in schools in Kazan ahead of the new school year. According to the city administration, workers are installing new checkpoints in schools.
